The fallen resistance people in Limburg
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
In the genealogy Henket Henquet [1] we read:
Theo Pérée from Maastricht was a
factory worker/ laborer in a noodle factory and domiciled Achter de Molens 6 in Maastricht. Theo died in Neuengamme concentration camp, Hausdeich 60, Hamburg, at 6:00 a.m. on January 4, 1945, of enterocolitus (inflammation of the intestines).
He was buried in Hamburg. [2]
On maastrichtsevelstenen.nl he is listed as a fallen resistance fighter [5], and in his file at the Oorlogsgravenstichting (War Graves Foundation), it says on page 7 [3], that he was forced on January 29, 1943, to go for work in the Gute-Hoffnungshütte in Oberhausen Germany. That he ended up in Neuengamme indicates that he resisted in some way.
