The rebar worker Josef Franssen lived in Maastricht. On February 25, 1943, he was forced to go to work at an unknown location in Germany. [1#2]
Nothing has yet been found in the archives about what happened next, except that he died in Bergen-Belsen. [4]
Apparently he had somehow incurred the wrath of Nazis, and so according to maastrichtsegevelstenen.nl he was a resistance fighter. [2]
