Sure, we know that the mood in the city was explosive so close to the liberation of Maastricht a few days later (September 13/14, 1944) and that the SiPo knew that their time was up. Before the Allies arrived, they fled and from then on, they led a nomadic but no less murderous life.. [3]
He is buried in the Municipal Cemetery Oostermaas, Maastricht-Wijk, grave G74. [5]
