The fallen resistance people in Limburg
Marcel Bellefroid was a painter, watercolorist and illustrator in Maastricht. [1]
In October 1943, he was arrested and imprisoned by the Nazis in Amsterdam. None of the websites that mention him give a reason for this, but maastrichtsegevelstenen.nl calls him a resistance fighter. [4]

Because of the bad conditions during his imprisonment, an old illness came back. After 6 weeks he was back home in Maastricht and died shortly after of bone tuberculosis.
