    The parents of Jan Quicken moved with their three children from Roermond to Venray (Paterslaan 5, later 8) in 1935. His father was co-director of the Landbouwbank (Agricultural Bank). There Jan got his Gymnasium diploma. Then he had to go to Germany for work on June 7, 1943. He was killed in a bombing. Buried in the cemetery in Neuwied, field of honor, grave 103. [1]
