The fallen resistance people in Limburg
The miner Huub Jongen lived in Waubach (municipality of Ubach over Worms) and was a distributor of De vonk (The Spark) [1]
He was arrested on May 31, 1942. [2]
He was in the concentration camps of Amersfoort and Neuengamme [3] but eventually died in Bremen. One place where many Flemish and Dutch forced laborers were imprisoned was a former school building on Kantstraße in Bremen from August 1941. These people mainly had to build bunkers [4], but whether Huub was also there is not (yet) known.
Hubert ( Huub ) Jongen is listed in the Erelijst 1940-1945 (Honor Roll of the Dutch Parliament). [5]
